JIM STOPHER  Solo Piano Recital

Benefit Concert for the College of Marin Symphony Orchestra

Sonata + Toccata

Written in the final months of Schubert's short life, the epic Piano Sonata in A Major, D. 959, contains some of the composer's most beautiful melodies and conveys an astonishing range of emotions. The program concludes with three works in the toccata style: J.S. Bach's Toccata in G Major, Alberto Ginastera's Danzas Argentinas, and Sergei Rachmaninoff's Moment Musical in E Minor. Experience the thrill of live performances of these masterpieces!
