MUSIC FROM MARIN CHAMBER PLAYERS
Instrumental music by Marin County Composers 1931-2009
Enjoy works by COM alums, including world famous percussionist Terry Bozzio and film composers Mark Adler and Susan Lockwood. Other composers with connections to Marin will also be featured such as Ernst Bacon, a major voice in mid-20th century American music; the great German master Karlheinz Stockhausen, who composed while on a houseboat in Sausalito; David del Tredici, with San Anselmo roots; gifted Dominican University professor Jules Langert; Henry Cowell, a "guest" of San Quentin in the 30's; and Maximilian Maksutovic, Tara Flandreau, Ron Fein, Kevin Schuepbach, and Jerry Frohmader - all with deep connections to College of Marin.
