Contemporary Opera Marin presents three short operas: Carnival of the Animals, the great French classic arranged for women’s voices; and Viennese/Londoner Joseph Horovitz’s jazz-infused scenic oratorio on the travails and triumphs of building an ark — as well as staged songs by Thomas Weelkes (The Ape, the Monkey and Baboon), Ludwig van Beethoven (The Death of a Poodle), and Gioacchino Rossini (Duet for Two Cats).
