College Chorus and Chamber Singers

Singing in English!
The English choral tradition is surveyed in this evening of madrigals, motets, ballads, and glees. College Chorus will perform Emma Lou Diemer’s Three Shakespearean Madrigals. Chamber Singers will offer Elizabethan madrigals, sacred music of William Byrd and Thomas Tallis, as well as the lush and romantic Beati Quorum Via and Coelos Ascendit by Charles Villiers Stanford. The choirs will combine for a delightful dose of Gilbert and Sullivan.
