This concert will explore choral canons and rounds. This imitative form has been a favorite of composers for centuries. Elizabethan rounds, classical canons, and American folk songs will showcase the leader-follower style of composition. Beethoven, cherubini, Billings, and even Moondog give us shining examples of this clever art.
