Come out and enjoy a wild evening of big-band jazz music as the COM Jazz Ensemble performs some engaging mid-century and more recent jazz compositions. On the list includes a couple of jazz fusion pieces by Chick Corea and Joe Zawinul, as well as pieces by Matt Harris, Gordon Goodwin, and maybe even a piece by Jacob Mann. The program will include a Maria Schneider piece with highly textured orchestrations evoking visual imagery and musical colors.
