Folk music! It often features beautifully simple and highly memorable melodies, and tells tales of love lost, high adventure, historical events, or the toils of the day. It is commonly passed from generation to generation in an oral tradition and evolves and changes with the needs of its musicians and their audiences. But what happens when master composers get their hands on folk music? Join us for an evening of musical tall tales and romance, featuring the folk inclinations of Ralph Vaughan Williams and Percy Grainger of yesteryear, and contemporary folk songs by Chambers, Karrick, and Vinson!
