The Marin Oratorio returns to live performances with Johannes Brahms’ magnificent German Requiem. Brahms, an agnostic, spent years shaping this work not as a liturgical mass, but rather as a personal human requiem and solace
for all humankind. Performed with the orchestra in a new arrangement by British composer Iain Farrington and with soprano soloist Sibel Demirmen and baritone Michael Orlinsky, there are two opportunities to hear this work that is so appropriate for both the season and our climb out from under the dark cloud of the pandemic.
Your support is greatly appreciated. All proceeds support Marin Oratorio and its ongoing mission to bring the great choral masterworks to Marin County audiences.
All attendees must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination at the door. Masks are required indoors at all times regardless of vaccination status.
