Entry-level classes
No prior experience or knowledge is required for these fun and ear-opening courses!
- Introduction to Classical Music (MUS 101): Study great music and great composers from the Medieval period to the present!
- Rock, Pop, and Jazz (MUS 105): Immerse yourself in styles like blues, folk, rock and roll, samba, hip hop, and more — and study the artists who bring them to life!
- Music Fundamentals (MUS 106): Learn the building blocks of music, like keys, scales, and chords, and jump-start your ability to read musical notation!
- Music in Society (MUS 109): Explore the social and psychological effects of music in everyday life!
- Piano I (MUS 171): Get your fingers moving and learn the basics of this universal instrument!
- Voice I (MUS 181): Master the art of vocal technique and find your own voice!
Intermediate classes
For these classes, it helps to have some experience playing an instrument or singing:

- Ear Training I and II (MUS 121 and 122)
